Welcome to Rangiora High School
Nau Mai, Haere Mai ki Te Kura Tuarua o Rangiora
NO TIMETABLED CLASSES ON FRIDAY 20 OCTOBER, from 12.30pm
It was with great sadness that we learnt on Monday that Mr Brent Rollo, Rangiora High School’s long-serving Head of Mathematics who retired at the end of 2016, had passed away after a short illness. Mr Rollo had taught at Rangiora High School from 1979. He was very involved in athletics, both here at school and in the community. His funeral is to be held on the afternoon of Friday 20 October. With many of our staff wanting to pay their respects, we will not be able to staff timetabled classes on Friday afternoon. Supervision will be available in Rakahuri for students, such as those who travel by bus, who are not able to make their way home after period 3 ends at 12.25pm. Note that due to commitments to other schools, buses will run at the usual time on Friday afternoon. We would ask that you would support our school at this sad time by giving permission for your daughter/son to study at home on the afternoon of Friday 20 October. Thank you.
