Welcome to our website. Rangiora High School was established by an Act of Parliament in 1884. We are an innovative school with a 126 year tradition of providing the families of North Canterbury with quality education.

Rangiora High School is a co-educational secondary school with a roll of over 1700 students. We employ over 180 teaching and support staff. We are proud to be a professional learning community committed to providing the best possible teaching and learning opportunities in a supportive student-centred environment.

Our campus has a pleasant rural outlook on the eastern edge of Rangiora, adjacent to our own school farm and is just 20 minutes from Christchurch, the largest city on the beautiful South Island of New Zealand.
