Nursery School
Rangiora High School Nursery School is a long established community-based early childhood education provider situated adjacent to Rangiora High School. The Nursery School was established in 1938. A management committee of parents and staff administers the purpose-built centre. It is directly responsible to the Board of Trustees of Rangiora High School.
Children aged from three and a half to five years old from rural and urban areas of North Canterbury attend one and sometimes two days a week. Some of these children attend other centres.
The centre philosophy emphasises the provision of a safe, warm and welcoming environment and of developmentally appropriate programmes based on the principles of Te Whariki, the New Zealand Early Childhood Education Curriculum.
The Head Teacher is Mary Russell who can be telephoned on 03 3137734.
