Faculty of English
English is taught from Year 9 to Year 13 (NCEA Level 3). English is compulsory until the end of Year 12 (NCEA Level 2). This compulsory requirement may change for 2013. The Literacy requirements for NCEA may be earned through English.
The Faculty of English offers a wide range of courses across all year levels:

- English for Literacy (Year 11, NCEA Level 1)
- English - Advanced (Year 12, NCEA Level 2)

- English - Applied (Year 12, NCEA Level 2)
- English - Literary Criticism (Year 13, NCEA Level 3)
- English (Year 13, NCEA Level 3)
- English - Applied (Year 13, NCEA Level 3)
- English for Speakers of Other Languages (from Year 11, NCEA Level 1)
